The foundation has met the most rigorous standards in philanthropy and is compliant with the National Standards of U.S. Community Foundations, administered by the Community of Foundations, a membership organization of more than 2,000 grants making foundations and giving programs worldwide.  This affirms the foundations commitment to financial security, transparency, and accountability.
 
The California Community Foundation (CCF) is made up of three operations rolled into one: a family funds, a steward of money, and a grant maker.  It is a family of more than 1,650 funds created by people who have entrusted the Foundation with their legacy.
